THUNDERSTONES at Sutrov Gallery Sutrov Gallery presents THUNDERSTONES, a new exhibit of abstract works by John Shoemaker and landscape paintings by Maggie T. Sutrov. Join us this Saturday, Oct 18th for the opening from 5-9pm. This show is Shoemaker’s newest expansion on his signature use of color in mixed media. “We saw Shoemaker’s newest pieces, and we knew we had to get these out there,” says fellow artist and gallery owner Maggie T. Sutrov. “You get pulled into the color, and the way he layered all the textures. They are a stunning series.” On display is Maggie T. Sutrov’s works, including her panoramic painting, Wailua. “I just finished this piece. The view is one of my favorites on the way to Hana. It deserved a large canvas.” Sutrov Gallery also exhibits paintings by R. Groden, sculptures by Jake Bonnell, furniture by Robert Lippoth, and batiks by Phil Soo.
